Pierre Bellec, PhD, is the Scientific director of the Fonctional Neuroimaging Unit, Research Center of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal, the principal investigator of the SIMEXP lab and an associate professor at the psychology department at the University of Montréal.
Pierre Bellec is also co-leading the Discovering new biomarkers team of the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging, together with Dr Roger Dixon, from University of Alberta. Finally, Dr Bellec is the scientific director of the Courtois Project on Neuronal Modelling (NeuroMod), which uses human neuroimaging data to help train large artificial neural networks on a variety of cognitive tasks. Dr Bellec is a fellow (chercheur boursier 1&2) of the Fonds de Recherche du Québec-Santé.
